Game Jam done - more to come!


After two weeks of development, the Pirate Software Game Jam 16 ended today. I took this jam as an opportunity to jump into my first little project.
After focusing on the core gameplay loop, the first playable prototype looked like this:
In the remaining days, I improved the mechanics, created a map and added visual and sound effects.
For a first-time Godot project that involved a lot of learning the engine, I am quite happy with the outcome.
I had a lot of fun along the way, especially due to the active community of the jam.
Also, I streamed the whole endeavor on my twitch channel xinraTV (mostly German) and had a great time with the community there as well.
After taking a little break from the jam, I will continue the development of this game. I aim to build it into an actually useful tool for typing practice.
